| 1 1/2 lbs | 681g / 24oz | Round steak - cut in 1" squares |
| 1 | Brown gravy mix | |
| 1 tablespoon | 15ml | Minced onion |
| 1 tablespoon | 15ml | Honey |
| 2 tablespoons | 30ml | Wine |
| 1 teaspoon | 5ml | Ginger |
| 1 | Bay leaf | |
| 2 cups | 474ml | Water |
| Salt - to taste | ||
| Freshly-ground black pepper - to taste |
Brown meat in oil. Mix gravy mix, onion, honey, wine, ginger, bay leaf and 2 cups water in the crockpot. Cook on LOW until meat is tender, about 8 hours.
Serve over cooked rice.
