Round Steak Sauerbraten

Recipe Ingredients

1 1/2 lbs	681g / 24oz	Round steak - cut in 1" squares
1		Brown gravy mix
1 tablespoon	15ml	Minced onion
1 tablespoon	15ml	Honey
2 tablespoons	30ml	Wine
1 teaspoon	5ml	Ginger
1		Bay leaf
2 cups	474ml	Water
		Salt - to taste
		Freshly-ground black pepper - to taste

Recipe Instructions

Brown meat in oil. Mix gravy mix, onion, honey, wine, ginger, bay leaf and 2 cups water in the crockpot. Cook on LOW until meat is tender, about 8 hours.

Serve over cooked rice.
