Recipe Ingredients

2 lbs 908g / 32ozPork - (to 2 1/2 lbs) - cut into 1" cubes
2 tablespoons 30mlVegetable oil
1   Large can diced tomatoes in juice - (28 oz
1   Chili beans - (16 oz) - undrained
1   Tomato sauce - (8 oz)
1/3 cup 78mlSalsa
1 cup 62g / 2.2ozOnion - chopped (small)
1 cup 146g / 5.1ozBell pepper - chopped (small)
1 tablespoon 15mlChili powder
  Minced jalapeño or other hot chile - to taste (optional)
1   Garlic clove - minced
  Salt - to taste
  Freshly-ground black pepper - to taste
1/4 teaspoon 1.3mlCayenne pepper - or to taste

Recipe Instructions

In a large skillet, brown pork cubes in hot oil over medium heat. Drain. Place pork in crockpot; add remaining ingredients. Cover and cook on LOW for 8 to 10 hours.

Good with cornbread or crackers.

This recipe yields 8 to 10 servings.
