Orange Glazed Chicken Recipe - Cooking Index
2 tablespoons | 30ml | Butter |
3 lbs | 1362g / 48oz | Roasting chicken |
1/4 cup | 40g / 1.4oz | Brown sugar |
1 tablespoon | 15ml | Prepared mustard |
Salt - to taste | ||
Freshly-ground black pepper - to taste | ||
Grated rind and juice of 2 large oranges | ||
2 tablespoons | 30ml | Cornstarch |
3 tablespoons | 45ml | Water |

Brown chicken in butter and place in slow cooker. Combine sugar, mustard, salt, pepper, orange rind, and orange juice in frying pan; boil. Pour sauce over chicken and cook on HIGH for 4 to 6 hours.
Remove chicken from slow cooker. Blend cornstarch with water and stir into pot; allow to thicken. Cover and cook for 5 to 10 minutes. Spoon sauce over chicken. Garnish with orange slices.
