Hawaiian Pork Roast Recipe - Cooking Index
1 | Boneless pork shoulder roast - (3 to 4 lbs) | |
4 teaspoons | 20ml | Liquid smoke |
4 teaspoons | 20ml | Soy sauce |
2 | Ripe bananas - unpeeled | |
1/2 cup | 118ml | Water |
Place the roast on a 22- by 18-inch piece of heavy-duty aluminum foil; sprinkle with liquid smoke and soy sauce. Wash bananas and place at the base of each side of roast. Pull sides of foil up around roast; add water. Seal foil tightly; wrap again with another large piece of foil. Place in a shallow baking pan; refrigerate overnight, turning several times.
Place foil-wrapped meat in slow-cooker. Cook on LOW 8 to 10 hours. Drain; discard bananas and liquid. Shred meat with fork.
