Cranberry-Orange Turkey Roll Recipe - Cooking Index
1/4 cup | 49g / 1.7oz | Sugar |
2 tablespoons | 30ml | Cornstarch |
3/4 cup | 177ml | Orange marmalade |
1 cup | 93g / 3.3oz | Fresh cranberries - ground, or |
Finely chopped | ||
1 | Frozen turkey roll - (2 to 2 1/2 lbs) - partially thawed | |
Salt - to taste | ||
Freshly-ground black pepper - to taste |
In small saucepan, blend sugar and cornstarch; stir in marmalade and cranberries. Cook and stir until mixture is bubbly and slightly thickened. Place partially thawed turkey roll in slow-cooking pot. Sprinkle lightly with salt and pepper. Pour sauce over turkey. Cover and cook on LOW for 9 to 10 hours.
Insert a meat thermometer into turkey during the last 2 to 3 hours; cover and cook until temperature reaches 185 degrees. Slice turkey roll; spoon sauce over turkey.
