Chinese Braised Chicken - Crockpot

Recipe Ingredients

1 cup 62g / 2.2ozChopped onion
3 lbs 1362g / 48ozChicken - skinned
1 cup 237mlWater
1/2 cup 118mlLow sodium soy sauce
2 tablespoons 30mlChopped fresh ginger
2 tablespoons 30mlSugar
1   Garlic clove - chopped

Recipe Instructions

Place 1/2 cup chopped onion in bottom of crockpot liner. Add chicken. Be sure to remove ALL visible fat! Combine water, soy sauce, chopped ginger, sugar, and garlic. Pour over all. Add the other 1/2 cup of chopped onion. Cover and cook on LOW for 6 to 8 hours.

This recipe yields 6 servings.
