Chinese Braised Chicken - Crockpot Recipe - Cooking Index
1 cup | 62g / 2.2oz | Chopped onion |
3 lbs | 1362g / 48oz | Chicken - skinned |
1 cup | 237ml | Water |
1/2 cup | 118ml | Low sodium soy sauce |
2 tablespoons | 30ml | Chopped fresh ginger |
2 tablespoons | 30ml | Sugar |
1 | Garlic clove - chopped |
Place 1/2 cup chopped onion in bottom of crockpot liner. Add chicken. Be sure to remove ALL visible fat! Combine water, soy sauce, chopped ginger, sugar, and garlic. Pour over all. Add the other 1/2 cup of chopped onion. Cover and cook on LOW for 6 to 8 hours.
This recipe yields 6 servings.
