Sausage In Beer-Mustard Sauce Recipe - Cooking Index
2 lbs | 908g / 32oz | Polish or smoked sausage |
(turkey sausage is good) | ||
1 | Onion - quartered, sliced 1/2" (large) | |
2/3 cup | 157ml | Beer |
1/3 cup | 53g / 1.9oz | Brown sugar |
1/4 cup | 59ml | Vinegar |
1/4 cup | 59ml | Prepared mustard |
1 tablespoon | 15ml | Cornstarch - mixed with |
2 teaspoons | 10ml | Water - to make a paste |
Slice sausage into 1-inch rounds; place in crockpot along with the onion. Combine remaining ingredients and pour over sausage and onions. Cover and cook on LOW for 6 to 8 hours; stir in cornstarch-water paste to thicken before serving, if desired.
Serve with potato salad, rice, or noodles. You may also serve this as an appetizer.
