Sausage In Beer-Mustard Sauce

Recipe Ingredients

2 lbs 908g / 32ozPolish or smoked sausage
  (turkey sausage is good)
1   Onion - quartered, sliced 1/2" (large)
2/3 cup 157mlBeer
1/3 cup 53g / 1.9ozBrown sugar
1/4 cup 59mlVinegar
1/4 cup 59mlPrepared mustard
1 tablespoon 15mlCornstarch - mixed with
2 teaspoons 10mlWater - to make a paste

Recipe Instructions

Slice sausage into 1-inch rounds; place in crockpot along with the onion. Combine remaining ingredients and pour over sausage and onions. Cover and cook on LOW for 6 to 8 hours; stir in cornstarch-water paste to thicken before serving, if desired.

Serve with potato salad, rice, or noodles. You may also serve this as an appetizer.
