6 | Pork loin chops, abt 1" thick - trimmed of fat | |
2 tablespoons | 30ml | Vegetable oil |
Salt - to taste | ||
6 | Tart apples, such as Granny Smith - cored, and | |
Thickly sliced | ||
1/4 cup | 40g / 1.4oz | Currants or raisins - (optional) |
1 tablespoon | 15ml | Lemon juice |
1/4 cup | 40g / 1.4oz | Brown sugar |
Brown chops in oil over medium heat. Sprinkle with salt. Place pork chops in the crockpot; combine remaining ingredients and pour over the pork chops. Cover and cook on LOW for 7 to 9 hours, or on HIGH 3 to 4 hours.
This recipe yields 6 servings.
