5 | Carrots - sliced | |
3 | Onions - cut up | |
6 | Potatoes - cut up | |
3 | Celery ribs - sliced | |
1 | Whole tomatoes - (28 oz) - cut up, | |
With juice also | ||
1 cup | 237ml | Water |
6 tablespoons | 90ml | Minute tapioca |
3 tablespoons | 45ml | Worcestershire sauce |
Freshly-ground black pepper - to taste | ||
Salt - to taste | ||
Ground allspice - to taste | ||
Marjoram - to taste | ||
Thyme - to taste | ||
2 | Bay leaves | |
1 | Frozen sweet peas - (10 oz) |
Put all ingredients except peas into a slow cooker. Mix all the above together in the crockpot and cover; put on LOW and cook all day or overnight.
Turn to HIGH and add frozen peas 1/2 hour to 1 hour before serving.
This recipe yields 4 to 6 servings.
