Chuckwagon Venison

Recipe Ingredients

1 lb 454g / 16ozGround venison
1   Whole tomatoes - (16 oz)
1   Green pepper - seeded, chopped fine
1   Onion - finely chopped
1/2 cup 80g / 2.8ozRaw long-grain converted rice
1 teaspoon 5mlSalt
1/2 teaspoon 2.5mlLeaf basil
1   Freshly-ground black pepper
4   American cheese - cut into triangles

Recipe Instructions

Place all ingredients except cheese in crockpot. Stir thoroughly to mix ground venison with other ingredients. Place 4 cheese triangles on top. Cover and cook on LOW for 7 to 10 hours.

Before serving, top with remaining 4 cheese triangles.

This recipe yields 4 servings (about 2 quarts).
