Beef Stew With Shiitake Mushrooms

You can use 2 cups of sliced regular mushrooms instead of the shiitake ones if you want.

Recipe Ingredients

12   New potatoes - quartered
1   Onion - chopped (medium)
1   Baby-cut carrots - (8 oz)
1   Fresh shiitake mushrooms - (3.4 oz) - sliced
1   Diced tomatoes - (14 1/2 oz) - undrained
1   Condensed beef broth - (10 1/2 oz)
1/2 cup 31g / 1.1ozFlour
1 tablespoon 15mlWorcestershire sauce
1 teaspoon 5mlSalt
1 teaspoon 5mlSugar
1 teaspoon 5mlDried marjoram leaves
1/4 teaspoon 1.3mlFreshly-ground black pepper
1 lb 454g / 16ozBeef stew meat - cut into 1/2" pieces

Recipe Instructions

Mix all ingredients except beef in crockpot. Add beef. Cover and cook on LOW heat 8 to 9 hours or until vegetables and beef are tender. Stir well before serving.

This recipe yields 8 servings.
