Beef Stew With Raisins Recipe - Cooking Index
1 1/2 lbs | 681g / 24oz | Beef in 2" cubes |
2 tablespoons | 30ml | Flour |
1/2 teaspoon | 2.5ml | Celery salt |
1/2 teaspoon | 2.5ml | Garlic salt |
1/2 teaspoon | 2.5ml | Ginger |
1/4 teaspoon | 1.3ml | Freshly-ground black pepper |
1 | Tomatoes - (16 oz) | |
2 cups | 220g / 7.8oz | Carrots - thinly sliced |
1/4 cup | 59ml | Dark molasses |
1/4 cup | 59ml | Sherry cooking wine (or beef broth) |
1/4 cup | 40g / 1.4oz | Raisins |
1 | Noodles |
Place beef in crock pot. Combine flour and seasonings. Sprinkle over the beef. Combine tomatoes, carrots, molasses and wine. Pour over beef. Cover and simmer at LOW setting for 7 to 9 hours.
Add raisins last 30 minutes, keep warm. During last 10 minutes, cook noodles according to package directions. Serve stew over noodles.
This recipe yields 6 servings.
