3 1/2 lbs 1589g / 56ozBeef short ribs
1 tablespoon 15mlVegetable oil
1 tablespoon 15mlOnion - cut into wedges (large)
4 tablespoons 60mlPotatoes - peeled (medium)
4 tablespoons 60mlCarrots - pared, cut up (medium)
1 cup 237mlWater
1 cup 237mlTomato ketchup
1/3 cup 78mlRed wine vinegar
1 tablespoon 15mlPaprika
1 teaspoon 5mlCurry powder
1/2 teaspoon 2.5mlChili powder
1/2 teaspoon 2.5mlDry mustard
2 teaspoons 10mlSalt
1 tablespoon 15mlCornstarch - (optional)
2 tablespoons 30mlWater

Recipe Instructions

Brown ribs in vegetable oil; place in crock pot with onions, potatoes and carrots. Mix next 8 ingredients and pour over ribs and vegetables. Cover and cook on LOW for 8 to 10 hours. Thicken with cornstarch mixed with water, if desired.
