4 | Eggs - slightly beaten | |
4 tablespoons | 60ml | Flour |
1 cup | 237ml | Milk |
1/4 cup | 59ml | Sour cream |
1/4 cup | 36g / 1.3oz | Parmesan cheese - (to 1/2) |
1 cup | 146g / 5.1oz | Grated Swiss cheese |
2 teaspoons | 10ml | Dried minced onion |
In a medium bowl, mix eggs, flour, milk, Parmesan cheese, Swiss cheese and minced onion.
Pour into lightly greased quiche dish or pie plate which holds 1 1/2 quarts.
Bake at 325 degrees for 35 to 40 minutes or until puffed and golden.
This recipe yields 4 servings.
Variations:
u Add 1/2 cup chopped ham
u Add 4 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled
u Add 1 package frozen chopped spinach, thawed and squeezed dry
u Add 1 can sliced mushrooms or 1/2 cup fresh sauteed mushrooms
u Add 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme
Do Ahead Tip: Prepare mixture and pour into greased pans. Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate overnight. Allow to sit at room temperature before baking.
