English Muffin French Toast Recipe - Cooking Index

1/4 cup | 59ml | Milk |
4 | English muffins - split in half | |
1 teaspoon | 5ml | Vanilla |
1/2 teaspoon | 2.5ml | Cinnamon |
In a 9- by 13-inch glass dish, mix eggs, milk, vanilla and cinnamon. Place English muffin halves in egg mixture and allow to stand until all of egg mixture is absorbed, about 30 minutes.
Fry in butter immediately or cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate overnight. Or to freeze, place muffins on a cookie sheet and freeze uncovered for 1 to 2 hours or until firm. Place in a freezer bag and keep frozen until ready to use.
To serve, toast in a toaster until hot or place on a cookie sheet in a 500 degree oven for 8 to 10 minutes or until golden. Serve with butter and honey.
