Quick Pepper Steak

Recipe Ingredients

1 lb 454g / 16ozBoneless beef sirloin or
  Top round steak, 3/4" thick
2 tablespoons 30mlVegetable oil
2 tablespoons 30mlGreen or red peppers - cut 2"-long strips (medium)
1 tablespoon 15mlOnion - cut into wedges (medium)
1/2 teaspoon 2.5mlGarlic powder
1   Franco-American beef gravy - (10 1/4 oz)
1 tablespoon 15mlWorcestershire sauce
4 cups 640g / 22ozHot cooked rice

Recipe Instructions

Slice beef into thin strips. (To make slicing easier, freeze beef 1 hour.)

In medium skillet over medium-high heat, heat half the oil. Add beef in 2 batches and stir-fry until browned. Set beef aside.

Reduce heat to medium. Add remaining oil. Add peppers, onion and garlic powder and stir-fry until tender-crisp. Pour off fat.

Add gravy and Worcestershire. Heat to a boil. Return beef to pan. Reduce heat to low and heat through. Serve over rice.

This recipe yields 4 servings.
