Oven Baked Chicken Recipe - Cooking Index
1 tablespoon | 15ml | Margarine or butter |
2/3 cup | 157ml | Original Bisquick |
1 1/2 teaspoons | 7.5ml | Paprika |
1 1/4 teaspoons | 6.3ml | Salt |
1/4 teaspoon | 1.3ml | Freshly-ground black pepper |
3 lbs | 1362g / 48oz | Broiler-fryer chicken - (to 3 1/2 lbs) - cut up |
Heat oven to 425 degrees. Melt margarine in rectangular baking dish, 13 by 9 by 2 inches, in oven.
Stir together Bisquick, paprika, salt and pepper; coat chicken. Place skin-sides down in dish (dish and margarine should be hot).
Bake 35 minutes; turn chicken. Bake about 15 minutes longer or until juice is no longer pink when centers of thickest pieces are cut.
This recipe yields 5 servings.
