Fried Chicken Recipe - Cooking Index
Oil - for frying | ||
1 1/2 cups | 93g / 3.3oz | All-purpose flour |
1 tablespoon | 15ml | McCormick Paprika |
2 teaspoons | 10ml | McCormick Bon Appetit Seasoning |
1 1/2 teaspoons | 7.5ml | McCormick Season-All Seasoned Salt |
1 teaspoon | 5ml | McCormick Ground Black Pepper |
1 cup | 237ml | Milk |
3 | Frying chickens - cut into 24 pieces |
Pour 1/2 inch oil into a skillet or chicken frying pan. Heat oil slowly to 350 degrees on deep-fry thermometer.
Mix flour, paprika, Bon Appetit, seasoned salt, and pepper in shallow pan or pie plate. Place milk in bowl. Dip chicken pieces in milk and roll in flour mixture.
Carefully place chicken, several at a time, in hot oil and cook 2 to 3 minutes per side or until lightly brown. (Do not overcrowd pan.) Reduce heat to 300 degrees, cover pan and continue frying 10 minutes on each side. Uncover, turn and fry an additional 5 minutes or until done. Remove and drain.
This recipe yields 12 servings, 2 pieces chicken each.
