1 | McCormick Taco Seasoning Mix - (1 1/4 oz) | |
2 | Low salt tomato sauce - (8 oz ea) | |
1 | Diced tomatoes - (14 1/4 oz) - divided | |
1 | Green chiles - (4 oz) | |
4 | Flour tortillas - (8" dia) | |
1 cup | 146g / 5.1oz | Shredded Mexican blend cheese - divided |
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Brown ground beef. Drain. Stir in Seasoning Mix, tomato sauce, one-half of tomatoes and green chiles. Simmer 5 minutes.
Place 2 tortillas in a 12- by 8-inch baking dish. Layer with half of meat mixture and half of shredded cheese. Top with remaining tortillas, meat mixture and tomatoes.
Bake 25 to 30 minutes. Sprinkle with remaining cheese last 5 minutes of baking.
This recipe yields 6 servings.
Side dishes: Mixed green salad; garnish with guacamole, salsa or sour cream.
