Shepherd's Pie Recipe - Cooking Index
1 cup | 237ml | Beef broth |
1 lb | 454g / 16oz | Beef cubes |
1 tablespoon | 15ml | Vegetable oil |
1/4 teaspoon | 1.3ml | McCormick Garlic Powder |
1/4 teaspoon | 1.3ml | McCormick Black Pepper |
2 cups | 220g / 7.8oz | Frozen peas and carrots - thawed |
3 cups | 711ml | Mashed potatoes |
1 | McCormick Onion Gravy Mix |
Combine Onion Gravy mix with water. Set aside.
Cook beef cubes in oil 8 to 10 minutes or until done. Add peas and carrots and gravy mixture. Bring to a boil; reduce heat and simmer until gravy thickens.
Pour beef mixture into 12- by 8-inch casserole dish. Spoon potatoes on top of beef mixture. Bake in 350 degree oven 30 minutes or until gravy starts to bubble and potatoes are lightly browned.
