Garden Swiss Steak

Recipe Ingredients

2 teaspoons 10mlVegetable oil
1 lb 454g / 16ozBeef round steak - cut into 4 pieces
2   Stewed tomatoes - (14 1/2 oz ea) - undrained
1/4 teaspoon 1.3mlThyme
1/2 teaspoon 2.5mlSalt
1/8 teaspoon 0.6mlFreshly-ground black pepper
1   Birds Eye Broccoli, Corn and Red Pepper - (16 oz)

Recipe Instructions

In large skillet, brown beef on both sides in oil over medium-high heat; drain.

Add tomatoes, thyme, salt and pepper; cover and cook over low heat 1 1/4 hours or until meat is tender, stirring occasionally.

Increase heat to medium, add vegetables, stir and cook an additional 5 to 6 minutes.

Serve over hot rice.

This recipe yields 4 servings.
