Linguine With Clam Sauce Recipe - Cooking Index
2 tablespoons | 30ml | Olive oil |
1 | Onion - chopped | |
2 | Garlic cloves - chopped | |
2 | Minced clams - (6 1/2 oz ea) | |
1 tablespoon | 15ml | Parsley |
1/2 teaspoon | 2.5ml | Basil |
1/2 teaspoon | 2.5ml | Oregano |
1/4 teaspoon | 1.3ml | Red pepper flakes - or to taste |
1/8 teaspoon | 0.6ml | Salt |
1/8 teaspoon | 0.6ml | Freshly-ground black pepper |
Hot cooked linguine |
Saute onion and garlic for 5 minutes. Drain in liquid from clams to onion and garlic mix, reserving clams. Add parsley, oregano, basil, red pepper flakes, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 5 minutes. Stir in clams. Add cooked linguine. Red pepper flakes are very hot, so watch how much you use.
