Marvelous Marinated London Broil Recipe - Cooking Index
Unfortunately, this recipe just isn't the same if you can't grill it, so think about investing in a small grill if you don't have one. We prefer gas models because at the flick of a switch, you're ready to cook. Of course, for some folks charcoal is the only way to go. If that's you, you'll still love this recipe.
Courses: Main Course1/4 cup | 59ml | Honey |
3 tablespoons | 45ml | Vegetable oil |
3 tablespoons | 45ml | Worcestershire sauce |
1 tablespoon | 15ml | Reduced-sodium soy sauce |
Juice of 1 lime | ||
2 teaspoons | 10ml | Minced garlic |

2 1/4 lbs | 1021g / 36oz | London broil (top round steak) |
Measure honey into a 2-cup glass measure. Microwave, uncovered, on high for 30 seconds.
Add oil, Worcestershire sauce, soy sauce, lime juice, garlic and onion powder to honey. Whisk to blend well.
Place meat in a gallon-size, zipper-top plastic bag. Whisk marinade once more; pour over meat. Seal bag. Turn bag several times to cover the meat with marinade. Refrigerate for 8 to 24 hours, turning bag at least once, if possible.
Prepare a medium-hot fire in grill.
Remove meat from marinade; discard marinade. Grill meat, covering the grill, to desired doneness, about 7 to 10 minutes a side for medium-rare, depending on the thickness. Do not overcook.
Remove from grill and thinly slice across the grain. Serve at once, or let stand until ready to serve. (Refrigerate leftovers, covered, up to 3 days.)
This recipe yields 8 servings.
