Grilled Tuna With Cilantro-Lime Butter Recipe - Cooking Index
4 | Ahi tuna steaks - (6 to 8 oz ea) | |
Salt - to taste | ||
Freshly-ground black pepper - to taste | ||
1/4 lb | 113g / 4oz | Butter - (1 stick) |
Grated lime zest | ||
1 tablespoon | 15ml | Minced fresh cilantro |
1/4 cup | 59ml | Lime juice |
Prepare a medium-hot grill.
Season tuna with salt and pepper. Grill steaks until firm and opaque in center, about 10 minutes for each inch of thickness.
Meanwhile, in a small saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter. Add zest, increase heat to high and bring butter just to boiling point. Remove from heat and stir in the cilantro. Keep warm.
Transfer tuna to a serving platter. Add lime juice to butter mixture, stir and pour sauce over tuna. Serve immediately.
