Asian Ribs Recipe - Cooking Index
Hoisin sauce adds an intense Asian flavor to a grilled favorite.
Type: Pork1/3 cup | 78ml | Soy sauce |

1 tablespoon | 15ml | Vegetable oil |
1 teaspoon | 5ml | Five-spice powder |

3 lbs | 1362g / 48oz | Meaty pork spareribs or |

For marinade, combine soy sauce, sherry, hoisin sauce, vegetable oil, five-spice powder, garlic, and pepper. Place ribs in plastic bag set into a shallow dish. Pour marinade over ribs; close bag. Marinate in the refrigerator 4 hours or overnight, turning bag occasionally to distribute marinade.
Remove ribs from marinade, reserving marinade. Place ribs in center of cooking grate. Grill 1 to 1 1/2 hours or until tender, brushing with reserved marinade during the last 20 minutes of grilling time. To serve, cut ribs into 2- or 3-rib portions.
