1 | Kraft Original Barbecue Sauce - (8 oz) | |
3 tablespoons | 45ml | Unsweetened cocoa |
3 tablespoons | 45ml | Honey |
1 1/2 teaspoons | 7.5ml | Chili powder |
1 | Broiler-fryer chicken - (3 to 3 1/2 lbs) - cut up |
Mix barbecue sauce, cocoa, honey and chili powder in small bowl. Pour barbecue sauce mixture over chicken in 13- by 9-inch baking dish.
Bake at 350 degrees, uncovered, for 1 hour or until cooked through.
This recipe yields 4 servings.
Miami Style BBQ Chicken: Omit cocoa, honey and chili powder. Blend barbecue sauce and 1/2 cup guava paste in covered blender container until smooth. Pour over chicken; bake as directed.
Tropical Style BBQ Chicken: Omit cocoa, honey and chili powder. Blend barbecue sauce, 6 tablespoon frozen orange juice concentrate, 2 cloves garlic and 1/4 cup cilantro leaves in covered blender container until smooth. Pour over chicken; bake as directed.
Grilled Mole BBQ Chicken: Mix barbecue sauce, cocoa, honey and chili powder in saucepan. Cook on medium heat 5 minutes or until mixture bubbles. Place chicken on greased grill over low coals. Grill, uncovered, 30 to 40 minutes or until cooked through, turning and brushing with barbecue sauce mixture every 10 minutes.
