Crock Of Beans

Recipe Ingredients

1 lb 454g / 16ozDiced bacon - (1 1/2 cups)
1 cup 62g / 2.2ozChopped green onions - (1 bunch)
1   Beer - (12 oz)
1 cup 237mlLight stock
1 cup 237mlBarbecue sauce of your choice
6 cups 960g / 33ozCooked white beans
  Salt - to taste
  Freshly-ground black pepper - to taste
3/4 cup 109g / 3.8ozBread crumbs

Recipe Instructions

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.

In a medium dutch oven cook the bacon until crisp, about 5 minutes. Add the green onions and cook for 2 minutes. Pour in the beer, reduce by half ,and add the stock and barbecue sauce. Fold in the cooked beans, and stir to coat. Season, and top with the bread crumbs. Place in the oven and cook for 30 minutes.
