Maryland Crab Cakes Recipe - Cooking Index
1 lb | 454g / 16oz | Crab meat |
1 cup | 146g / 5.1oz | Seasoned breadcrumbs |
1 | Egg | |
1/4 cup | 59ml | Mayonnaise |
1/2 teaspoon | 2.5ml | Salt |
1/4 teaspoon | 1.3ml | Pepper |
1 teaspoon | 5ml | Worcestershire sauce |
1 teaspoon | 5ml | Dry mustard |
1 tablespoon | 15ml | Butter |
2 tablespoons | 30ml | Chopped parsley - (optional) |
1 | Cayenne pepper - (optional) | |
Red pepper flakes - to taste, (optional) |
Combine all ingredients, except crab, in a bowl. Mix well. Add crab and mix gently, but thoroughly. Shape into six cakes. Cook five minutes each side. Top with tartar sauce.
