Sesame Pork With Garlic Cream Sauce Recipe - Cooking Index
1 1/2 lbs | 681g / 24oz | Pork tenderloin |
1 tablespoon | 15ml | Vegetable oil |
1 tablespoon | 15ml | Sesame seeds |
1 tablespoon | 15ml | Margarine, butter, or spread |
2 | Garlic cloves - finely chopped | |
1 | Cream cheese - (3 oz) - cut into cubes | |
1/3 cup | 78ml | Milk |
1 tablespoon | 15ml | Chopped fresh chives |
(or 1 tspn freeze-dried chives) |
Cut pork into 1/2-inch slices.
Set oven control to broil. Brush oil over pork. Place pork on rack in broiler pan. Sprinkle with half of the sesame seeds. Broil pork with tops 4 to 6 inches from heat 6 minutes; turn. Sprinkle with remaining sesame seeds. Broil about 5 minutes longer or until pork is slightly pink in center.
Meanwhile, melt margarine in 10-inch skillet over medium heat. Cook garlic in margarine about 2 minutes, stirring occasionally, until softened; reduce heat to low.
Stir cream cheese and milk into garlic mixture. Cook about 1 minute, stirring constantly, until smooth and hot. Stir in chives. Serve with the pork.
