Farfalle With Tuna Recipe - Cooking Index
2 tablespoons | 30ml | Olive oil |
1/2 | Onion - finely chopped | |
1 | Garlic clove - finely chopped | |
1/2 cup | 118ml | White wine |
1 | Peeled tomatoes - (14 oz) - chopped | |
Salt - to taste | ||
Freshly-ground black pepper - to taste | ||
1 | Tuna in oil - (6 oz) | |
1 tablespoon | 15ml | Chopped basil |
2 tablespoons | 30ml | Chopped parsley |
1 oz | 28g | Farfalle no. 66 "La Molisana" |
Heat the oil in a sauce pan, add the finely chopped onion and garlic, and simmer until golden in color. Pour in the wine and allow it to evaporate. Add the chopped tomatoes, salt, and pepper and cook for about 15 minutes. Break up the tuna with a fork and add it to the sauce. Cook for another 5 minutes and stir in the basil and parsley.
Meanwhile, in a separate saucepan, cook the pasta in boiling salted water. Drain well and pour into the saucepan containing the tuna sauce. Mix well and serve.
This recipe yields 4 servings.
