Bavarian Chops Recipe - Cooking Index
4 | Boneless pork loin chops - 3/4" thick | |
2 tablespoons | 30ml | Flour |
1 teaspoon | 5ml | Butter |
1/2 cup | 31g / 1.1oz | Chopped green onion |
2 | Garlic cloves - minced | |
8 oz | 227g | Mushrooms - sliced |
1/2 teaspoon | 2.5ml | Thyme |
8 oz | 227g | Beer - room temperature |
Salt | ||
Black pepper, freshly ground | ||
Minced fresh parsley - optional |
Lightly flour both sides of chops. Melt butter in nonstick skillet over medium-high heat until foaming. Brown chops quickly on both sides. Remove, reserve pan drippings. Add green onion, garlic, mushrooms, and thyme and saute an additional minute. Return chops to skillet, add beer, bring to a boil. Reduce heat, cover, and simmer 7 to 8 minutes. Season with salt and pepper. Garnish with parsely, if desired. This recipe serves 4.
