Grandma Anne's Vegetable Soup

Recipe Ingredients

1   Onion (large)
3   Celery stalks
3   Carrots
1/4 cup 59mlVegetable oil
12 oz 340gCanned tomatoes
3   Water
1   Freshly-ground black pepper
1   Salt
1   Dried dill weed
1   Goodman's Vegetable Soup Mix with Mushroom
  Excluding flavor packet
1/2   Frozen mixed vegetables - (10 oz bag)

Recipe Instructions

Chop onion in food processor. Slice celery and carrots in processor. Saute onion and celery in oil until translucent. Add carrots and tomatoes. In a large pot, combine sauteed vegetables with 3 quarts of water. Add salt, pepper, and dill. Add tube of soup mix. Simmer for at least 2 hours. Add frozen vegetables 15 minutes before finishing.

Serving size is 1 cup.
