Vidalia Onion And Apple Casserole

Recipe Ingredients

4 cups 250g / 8.8ozVidalia onions - sliced into 1/8 (large) inch slice
3   Apples - peeled and sliced (medium) into 1/8 inch, slices
6   Cooked bacon - crumbled, (reserve fat)
2   White bread - , cubed
3/4 cup 177mlChicken broth - , preferably homemade

Recipe Instructions

Layer onions, apples and bacon in a 2 quart casserole. Pour chicken broth into bottom of casserole. Cover and bake at 350F for 45 minutes. While baking, saute bread crumbs in 2 tablespoons bacon fat.
