Swiss 'n Chicken Casserole Recipe - Cooking Index
4 cups | 250g / 8.8oz | Cooked chicken - chopped |
2 cups | 292g / 10oz | Natural Swiss cheese - shred |
2 cups | 60g / 2.1oz | Croutons |
2 cups | 220g / 7.8oz | Celery - sliced |
1 cup | 237ml | Miracle whip or light |
1/2 cup | 118ml | Milk |
1/4 cup | 15g / 0.5oz | Onion - chopped |
Chopped walnuts - optional |
Heat oven to 350F. Mix all ingredients. Spoon into 2-quart casserole. Sprinkle with chopped walnuts, if desired. Bake 40 minutes or until thoroughly heated.
To make ahead: prepare as directed except do not top with walnuts and do not bake; cover. Refrigerate overnight.
When ready to serve, microwave on high 20 minutes or until thoroughly heated, turning dish after 10 minutes. Top with toasted walnuts if desired.
