2 tablespoons | 30ml | Margarine or butter |
1/2 cup | 31g / 1.1oz | Chopped onion |
1 cup | 110g / 3.9oz | Frozen peas and carrots |
14 teaspoons | 70ml | Pepper |
2 cups | 474ml | Milk |
1 cup | 146g / 5.1oz | Shredded Swiss cheese |
1 | Spam - cubed | |
2 tablespoons | 30ml | Flour |
1 teaspoon | 5ml | Dijon mustard |
Buttered bread crumbs |
Directions: Prepare elbow macaroni according to package directions; drain. In medium saucepan, melt butter. Add oni9n, cook until tender. Stir in flour, mustard and pepper. Blend in milk. Cook, stirring constantly, until thickened and bubbly. Add cheese; stir until melted.
Combine macaroni, Spam, peas and carrots, and cheese sauce.
Pour into a 3-quart baking dish. Top with bread crumbs.
Bake in 350F oven until hot and bubbly, about 30 minutes. Refrigerate leftovers. 6 to 8 servings.
