16 oz | 454g | Canned sauerkraut - drained |
2 oz | 56g | Green peppers - chopped (medium) |
1 | Spam luncheon meat - cubed | |
2 cups | 292g / 10oz | Shredded Swiss cheese |
1 cup | 237ml | Bacon salad dressing |
1 cup | 62g / 2.2oz | Tomato - peeled, sliced (large) |
1 cup | 237ml | Rye crackers - crumbed |
1/4 teaspoon | 1.3ml | Caraway seeds |
1/4 cup | 49g / 1.7oz | Butter - melted |
Vegetable cooking spray |
Heat oven to 450F. Spread sauerkraut in bottom of 2 quart casserole dish, coated with cooking spray. Sprinkle with green peppers.
Top with layers of meat, cheese, salad dressing and tomatoes. Combine cracker crumbs, caraway seeds and butter. Sprinkle over tomatoes.
Bake uncovered, 30 minutes. Serves six.
