Quick Macaroni And Cheese Recipe - Cooking Index
4 cups | 948ml | Elbow macaroni or small shells - uncooked |
16 oz | 454g | Pasteurized process cheese spread - cubed |
2/3 cup | 157ml | Milk |
1/4 cup | 49g / 1.7oz | Butter or margarine |
1/2 teaspoon | 2.5ml | Salt |
1/4 teaspoon | 1.3ml | Ground black pepper |
1/2 teaspoon | 2.5ml | Dry ground mustard - optional |
1. Cook pasta according to package directions; drain 2.In large saucepan over low heat, stir together hot pasta, cheese, milk, butter and seasonings. Stir until cheese is melted and sauce is smooth. Serve immediately. 6 to 8 servings. VARIATION: For a quick ham and cheese dish, stir in 2 cups cubed cooked ham.
