Party Chicken Bake Recipe - Cooking Index
1 tablespoon | 15ml | Italian salad dressing mix dry |
2 tablespoons | 30ml | Butter or margarine - melted |
3 | Chicken breasts - split | |
1 | Cream of mushroom soup - undiluted | |
3 oz | 85g | Cream cheese - softened |
1 tablespoon | 15ml | Chopped chives |
1/3 cup | 78ml | Sauterne wine |
1 cup | 160g / 5.6oz | Instant rice |
Recipe by: Mrs. J. Eldon Rucker, Jr. Reserve 1/2 tsp salad dressing mix. In large skillet combine butter and dressing mix; add chicken and brown slowly until golden. Place in 9 x 13-inch baking dish. Blend soup, cream cheese, chives, and sauterne. Spoon over chicken.
Bake uncovered at 325F for 1 hour. Baste with sauce occasionally. Serve over rice which has been cooked in water to which the reserved 1/2 teaspoon salad dressing mix has been added.
