Onion Mushroom Casserole Recipe - Cooking Index
5 cups | 312g / 11oz | Vidalia onions - peeled |
1/4 cup | 49g / 1.7oz | Butter - melted |
1/2 teaspoon | 2.5ml | Salt |
1 1/2 cups | 355ml | Fresh mushrooms - sliced |
3 oz | 85g | Cream cheese |
3 teaspoons | 15ml | Flour |
1 1/2 cups | 355ml | Milk |
1/4 cup | 36g / 1.3oz | Cheddar cheese - grated |
1/4 cup | 36g / 1.3oz | Cracker crumbs |
Combine onions with butter, mushrooms and salt; simmer for 5 minutes in a medium size sauce pan.
Add cream cheese. When melted, add flour and milk. Reheat. Turn into a 2 qt greased casserole dish. Sprinkle with mixture of grated cheese and crumbs.
Bake in a hot 400F oven for 30 minutes.
