Noodle Casserole (Ham, Pork, Tuna, Chicken Or Turkey) Recipe - Cooking Index
3 cups | 594g / 20oz | Egg noodles - uncooked |
1 tablespoon | 15ml | Butter or margarine |
1/4 cup | 15g / 0.5oz | Onion - chopped |
1/2 cup | 55g / 1.9oz | Celery - chopped |
1 | Cream of mushroom soup - condensed | |
1/2 cup | 118ml | Miracle whip - (r) |
1 | Tuna - drained and flaked | |
(or: 2 cups cubed cooked ham, chicken, pork | ||

1/2 cup | 73g / 2.6oz | Potato chips - crushed |
1. Bring 4 cups water, 1 tablespoon cooking oil, and 1 tsp salt to a full rolling boil in a 3 quart covered glass casserole for 6 - 10 minutes on High. Stir in noodles and recover. Microwave 8 - 10 minutes on Medium, or until tender. Drain, rinse with hot water and set aside.
2. Put butter, onion, and celery in a 2 quart glass casserole dish. Microwave about 3 minutes on High, or until partly cooked.
3. Stir in remaining ingredients (except potato chips). Microwave on Medium High for about 6 minutes. Sprinkle with crushed potato chips and cook for an additional 2-5 minutes until heated though.
4. Let stand 5 minutes before serving.
