Meat And Macaroni Casserole

Recipe Ingredients

1   -- elbow macaroni
3   Green peppers (medium)
3   Onions (medium)
1/2 lb 227g / 8ozMushrooms
3 tablespoons 45mlSalad oil
1 1/2 lbs 681g / 24ozGround bee - veal or pork
1   Tomatoes
1/4 teaspoon 1.3mlPepper
1   Mozzarella cheese

Recipe Instructions

Prepare macaroni according to package directions, drain. Spoon into 13 x 9 baking dish. Meanwhile cut green peppers into strips. Thinly slice mushrooms.

In a 12 " skillet over medium heat. Cook in hot salad oil. peppers, onions, mushrooms and salt, until vegetables are tender. Stir occasionally. Spoon vegetable mixture into baking dish with macaroni.

Preheat oven to 350.

In drippings remaining from skillet, cook meat and garlic, until all pan juices evaporate, and meat is browned. Stir in tomatoes and their liquid, pepper, half the grated cheese and salt. Spoon mixture into baking dish with macaroni and vegetables and toss gently to mix. Sprinkle with remaining cheese.

Bake 20 minutes or until cheese is melted and mixture is hot. Enjoy, Jeannie
