Chicken Taco Casserole Recipe - Cooking Index
1 | Chopped onion (large) | |
3 tablespoons | 45ml | Margarine |
1 | Chopped chilies - (small) | |
2 cups | 474ml | Tomato juice |
1 | Cheddar cheese soup | |
1 teaspoon | 5ml | Chili powder |
1/4 teaspoon | 1.3ml | Garlic powder |
2 cups | 125g / 4.4oz | Chopped chicken breast - cooked |
1 | Tortillas | |
1 cup | 146g / 5.1oz | Grated cheese |
Saute onion in butter. Add chilies, tomato juice, cheddar cheese soup, chili powder and garlic powder. Add chopped chicken. Break tortillas into about 6 pieces each. Put a layer of tortillas, layer of chicken mixture, and layer of grated cheese. Repeat until all is used.
Bake at 350F for about 30 minutes in 2 quart casserole, covered, and then uncover and add more grated cheese and cook until cheese is melted.
