Beef Skillet Dinner Recipe - Cooking Index
2 tablespoons | 30ml | Shortening |
1 lb | 454g / 16oz | Ground beef |
1 | -- tomatoes, cutup | |
1 teaspoon | 5ml | Salt |
1 teaspoon | 5ml | Worcestershire sauce |
1 1/2 cups | 219g / 7.7oz | Chopped cabbage |
2 tablespoons | 30ml | Parsley |
1 cup | 237ml | Uncooked macaroni |
1/2 cup | 73g / 2.6oz | Cheddar cheese - grated |
Heat shortening in a large skillet, then add ground beef and cook until browned. Drain fat from skillet. Blend tomato, salt, and Worcestershire sauce, with ground beef in skillet.
Bring to a boil. Add cabbage, parsley, and macaroni. Cover, reduce heat, and simmer for 15 to 20 minutes.
Sprinkle with cheese and serve hot.
