Baked Beef And Rice Recipe - Cooking Index
1 1/2 lbs | 681g / 24oz | Ground beef |
1 cup | 160g / 5.6oz | Rice - regular |
1 cup | 62g / 2.2oz | Onion - chopped (small) |
2 tablespoons | 30ml | Bacon drippings |
1 1/2 teaspoons | 7.5ml | Salt |
1/2 teaspoon | 2.5ml | Pepper |
1 teaspoon | 5ml | Paprika |
2 oz | 56g | Olives - stuffed, sliced |
2 cups | 474ml | Tomato juice |
1 1/2 cups | 355ml | Water - boiling |
1/2 cup | 73g / 2.6oz | Cheese - cheddar, shredded |
Saute ground beef, rice, and onion in bacon drippings. Pour off drippings. Add remaining ingredients except cheese; mix well. Place in a 1-1/2 quart casserole. Cover tightly; bake at 300F for 1 hour. Uncover; sprinkle with cheese and continue baking about 10 minutes or until cheese is melted.
