Creole Beef Over Rice Recipe - Cooking Index
1 1/2 lbs | 681g / 24oz | Certified Angus Beef bottom round steak - cut /2" cubes |
2 teaspoons | 10ml | Vegetable oil |
1 teaspoon | 5ml | Onion - chopped (large) |
1 teaspoon | 5ml | Green bell pepper - chopped (large) |
4 | Celery - chopped | |
1 tablespoon | 15ml | Creole seasoning - to taste |
2 | Stewed tomatoes - (14 1/2 oz ea) | |
(Cajun style if available) | ||
Hot cooked rice |
Heat oil in large heavy skillet or pot; brown beef about 2 minutes, stirring constantly; drain. Add onions, pepper and celery and saute for 3 minutes. Add Creole seasoning and stewed tomatoes. Cover and cook over low heat about 25 minutes, stirring frequently.
Serve over hot cooked rice.
