Broccoli Casserole - 1 Recipe - Cooking Index

4 tablespoons | 60ml | Butter |

1 cup | 146g / 5.1oz | Cheddar cheese - shredded |
4 | Eggs | |
1/2 teaspoon | 2.5ml | Salt |
1 cup | 237ml | Whole milk |
NOTE: THIS RECIPE WORKS EQUALLY WELL WITH ZUCCHINI, CAULIFLOWER, BRUSSELS SPROUTS, GREEN BEANS, CABBAGE, ETC. IN PLACE OF THE BROCCOLI.
Preheat the oven to 350F. Butter a shallow casserole. Chop the broccoli into bite-sized pieces. Tear the bread into 1" pieces and spread in an even layer in the casserole. Top with the broccoli. Beat the milk, eggs, melted butter, cheese and salt together with a fork in a separate bowl. Pour the cheese mixture over the broccoli. Cover. Bake for 35 minutes. Serve piping hot.
