Southwestern Turkey Loaf Recipe - Cooking Index
1 lb | 454g / 16oz | Ground turkey meat |
3 | Egg whites | |
1/2 cup | 118ml | Oatmeal |
1/4 cup | 15g / 0.5oz | Finely-chopped onions |
1/4 cup | 36g / 1.3oz | Finely-chopped red and green peppers |
1/4 cup | 4g / 0.1oz | Cilantro |
1/2 teaspoon | 2.5ml | Dry mustard |
1/2 cup | 118ml | Chunky salsa |
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. In a large bowl, mix turkey, egg whites and oatmeal together. Add onions, peppers, cilantro and dry mustard. Mix well.
Spray a loaf pan with non-stick spray. Form the turkey mixture into a loaf and place into pan. Top with salsa. Bake for approximately 1 hour.
This recipe yields 4 servings.
