Tuna Patties

Recipe Ingredients

2   Tuna; drained - finely flaked
1 cup 146g / 5.1ozSoft bread crumbs - about
  - 3 slices
1/2 cup 55g / 1.9ozChopped celery
1/4 cup 15g / 0.5ozChopped green onion
3   Egg - well beaten
4 tablespoons 60mlShortening
  Cucumber Sauce
1/2 cup 118mlSour cream
1/2   Lemon - juice of
1   Garlic - fine minced
1   Cucumber - peeled and (small)
  Chopped
  Sour Cream Sauce
2 tablespoons 30mlChopped green onion
1 tablespoon 15mlButter
1/2 cup 118mlSour cream
1 tablespoon 15mlLemon juice
  Salt and pepper to taste

Recipe Instructions

Mix ingredients, except shortening, together and form into patties. Melt shortening in heavy skillet and saute the patties until golden brown. Drain on absorbent paper. Serve hot with sauce or chill for several hours or overnight and serve cold with Cucumber sauce.

Cucumber sauce: Mix all ingredients well and chill.

Sour Cream Sauce: In small saucepan saute onion in butter. Lower heat and stir in sour cream and lemon juice. Salt and pepper to taste. Serve over hot patties.
