Sauteed Turkey In Orange Sauce Recipe - Cooking Index
2 tablespoons | 30ml | All purpose flour |
1 lb | 454g / 16oz | Turkey cutlets (turkey breast slices) - pounded thin |
1 tablespoon | 15ml | Olive oil |
1/3 cup | 20g / 0.7oz | Sliced green onions, white part only |
1 cup | 237ml | Garlic clove - thinly sliced (large) |
3/4 cup | 177ml | Fresh orange juice |
1 tablespoon | 15ml | Low-sodium soy sauce |
1 tablespoon | 15ml | Sesame oil |
1/4 cup | 15g / 0.5oz | Sliced green onion tops |
Salt - to taste | ||
Freshly-ground black pepper - to taste |
Dredge turkey cutlets in flour, shake off excess, and season with salt and pepper.
Heat olive oil in a nonstick skillet on high heat. Add turkey cutlets and cook until lightly browned, about 3 minutes per side. Transfer turkey to a plate.
Reduce the heat under skillet to medium and add the white part of green onions and garlic, cook about 2 minutes. Add orange juice and soy sauce, bring to a boil and cook until slightly thickened, about 3 minutes. Stir in sesame oil and season with salt and pepper.
Return turkey to the skillet and simmer just until turkey is heated through, about 2 to 3 minutes. Transfer turkey to serving plates, spoon the sauce on top and sprinkle with green onions.
