New York Strip Steak With Whiskey-Mushroom Sauce Recipe - Cooking Index
6 oz | 170g | NY strip steak |
2 oz | 56g | Shitake mushrooms - sliced |
2 oz | 56g | Button mushrooms |
1/4 teaspoon | 1.3ml | Thyme |
1/4 teaspoon | 1.3ml | Rosemary |
3 | Garlic cloves - chopped | |
1 teaspoon | 5ml | Margarine |
2 oz | 56g | Whiskey |
Grill steak to desired doneness.
In the meantime, in a saute pan, heat the margarine and add the garlic. Then add the mushrooms and herbs. Saute lightly over medium-high heat for about 1 to 2 minutes. Remove the pan from the heat and carefully add the whiskey. (Be careful not to flame.) Cook for another minute and top steak with sauce.
